Popped the axle out and replaced the seal (with the bearing/seal kit from american muscle). Some article said it's not serious, the car will run rightly even if heavy noise come from cv joint. After i had those replaced the noise had gone away.

Joined nov 4, 2005 · 66 posts. I've had a persistent leak from the passenger side output shaft seal from out 2005 3.3 gc. Is $480, i don't know if it is serious problem, some article said cv boots is the most important part of the cv axle.

Side axle seal (flinging all around). An axle is for keeping and maintain oils and other fluids from leaking out. It has been leaking on and off ever since.

Cv boots leaking has been found when i do oil changing. I went on and pulled it back apart and replaced that seal, but it still leaked. One of the more common signs the axle seal is leaking is oil below your vehicle after it has been parked.

To do this, unbolt the hub from the axle by removing the cotter pin, and using an axle nut tool to remove the axle nut. It began after i replaced the axle shaft, i did not replace the seal at that time, but noticed it leaking soon after. After cv joint replacement, leak where the cv shaft connects to front diff.
